Please note the Met Office has updated the yellow weather warning for snow and ice issued yesterday. This now comes into effect at 12noon today rather than 6pm.

Key information:

·  Warning in place from 12noon Thursday to 3pm on Friday

·  Warning area covers all but the eastern coast of the Borders

·  Outbreaks of sleet and snow spreading northwards

·  Accumulations, mainly on high ground, could range from 3cm to 10cm

·  Risk of ice

·  Be prepared for the cold, snow and ice
