Information sent on behalf of Scottish Borders Council

Good evening Citizen

This email is being sent to residents in the Tweedale area. There are now 3 flood warnings in Tweedale
  • Drumelzier to Dawyck
  • Dawyck to Lyne Ford
  • The Tweed in Peebles
The River Tweed is expected to reach bankfull and peak in Tweed Green, Peebles in the early hours of the morning. At this time it is expected the risk to properties is assessed as very low risk, however you may wish to put in place any flood protection products as a precaution.

The rain should start to clear in the next couple of hours and we expect mostly dry conditions overnight.

A lot of roads in the area are affected by surface water and care should be taken.

There is an accesible sandbag store at the Fire Station in Caledonia Road, Peebles

Further updates on flooding can be found on the SEPA website
