Alert message sent 01/12/2020 15:26:00

Information sent on behalf of Scottish Borders Council

Dear Citizen
The Met Office have issued a warning for 'Snow & Ice' overnight on Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Frequent showers will increasingly turn to snow on Wednesday night and persist into Thursday morning though these likely to fall as sleet and hail at times. Areas of Tweeddale most exposed to these showers are see likely to see some snow over higher ground and the likelihood is that only very small accumulations are expected here below 200 m.

The warnings can be viewed on the Met Office website where you can also find some model weather data. Their YouTube channel will have specific videos for Scotland and our Twitter account will share links to our warning page and any short video forecasts issued on @metofficescot.
